Thanksgiving 2006

We are thankful that we are cooking in our new kitchen because the countertops are done and the sink is installed. We are thankful for the rain, sort of. And Danny has a job. And Amber and Oliver are having fun in Peru. And we got to see Teddy Two Shoes and Judith this past year. And the tree didn't hurt our house.

We are thankful we got to see Joni and Rich and Danny and Oliver and Danny's friend who's name we have forgotten and Plato and Aristotle and kitty. We are thankful we didn't get to see any mices or ratos at their house. We are thankful that our busted bones have healed and that busted bones were the worst life gave us this year. We are thankful the neo-Nazi asswipe shitstain skidmarks got they butts handed to them on a tin plate. We are thankful for the feast Mr. Two Shoes prepared for us this Thanksgiving Day and for the roof over our heads and for the floor under our feets and for the thermostat that magically keeps us warm and for the winders which we have to keep blinded on account of the below-zero temperatures and the howling wind. We are thankful for our family and our friends and that we have family and friends. And we pray for all the millions of people in the world who have none of these things and we weep for them. And we harbor hope for them. And we pray for those souls who have been sent on a fool's errand to Iraq, and, yea, we even offer a prayer for that fool who sent them on that errand and for all the fools who surround him and who bow and scrape before him. And we pray that soon that fool will go on a bird-hunting trip with the fool with the permanent twisted scowl who absolutely positively maybe din't secretly go to Baghdad today. And we are thankful for all of our days here on this beautiful planet.
